They/Them
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist | Buddhist Chaplain
I came to this work through my own experience of being a person who didn't fit the categories that were handed to me — queer, neurodivergent, and raised in systems that weren't built with people like me in mind. That history shapes how I show up in the room.
My clinical approach draws from Buddhist psychology, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), and family systems theory. I'm interested in what happens in the body, in the nervous system, and in the relational field between us — not just what you think about your situation, but what you feel when you're in it.
I work with individuals and couples navigating identity, late diagnosis, religious trauma, family estrangement, grief, and the particular exhaustion of being misread by the people and systems around you. I also provide clinical supervision for pre-licensed therapists seeking an affirming, rigorous supervisory relationship.
"I am happily estranged from my family of origin. Distance, held without bitterness, has been a source of clarity for me — not grief. I don't require you to arrive at peace with your own estrangement before we begin."

Clinical philosophy
Therapy is not about fixing you.
It's about understanding the web you're embedded in — the genetics, the history, the relationships, the systems — and finding the places where something new is possible. I don't believe in pathologizing the adaptations that kept you alive. I believe in understanding them well enough that you can choose something different when you're ready.
You are the expert on your own life.
I bring clinical knowledge and a particular set of lenses. You bring everything else. The work happens in the space between.
Diagnosis is a tool, not a verdict.
Labels can open doors — to resources, to community, to self-understanding. They can also close them. I hold diagnostic frameworks lightly and use them in service of you, not the other way around.
The body keeps the score, and the body can also heal.
I work somatically — attending to what happens in your nervous system, not just your narrative. Insight matters. So does felt experience.

An Experiential Guide to Relational Dynamics
Drawing on clinical practice, anthropology, systems theory, and Buddhist psychology, this book introduces original frameworks — Story Swapping, Neurodivergent Orbital Dynamics, the Double Empathy Problem applied to romantic and family systems — not as diagnoses to be assigned, but as lenses to pick up, use, and set back down when they've done their work.

Happiness Unintentional
A self-help story executed poorly.
A dark psychological novel about identity erosion, emotional numbness, and the quiet terror of becoming understandable to everyone except yourself. Alex builds systems to make people easier — eye contact, tone, timing, appropriate reactions. The systems work. Then they don't.
"This is the closest fiction I've read that captures the AuDHD experience... wow." — Reader Review
